EMMYLOU'S BOYFRIEND IN RSA

Chris Walters paid a quick visit to South Africa from the U.K.to see Emmylou. It was great meeting with him in Durban. We had a meal at John Dory's at the Sun Coast Casino.Emmylou was a very happy girl for a whole week.

LLEWELYN LEARNS TO PLAY VIOLIN

Three months ago I decided to learn to play the violin. I have joined the Umhlanga Late Starters Orchestra (ULSO), which consists of adults who have started to learn to play the violin late in life. I am really enjoying the experience so much.
This is the violin I purchased for R 2500, a Stentor violin.
If I can improve my reading of music I am hoping to join two other ladies in the Orchestra on a trip to Greece in May to meet with Late Starter Orchestra representatives from all over the world, to play on one of the Greek Islands.
This is an annual event.

So I have huge motivation to improve my playing.

LLEWELYN WRITES NOVEL

Well November month is the National Novel Writing Month in the world. Some 115 000 people committed themselves to write a NOVEL, with a minimum of 50 000 words (175 pages) in a month. I completed my first 50 000 words by the 24/11/08 and received a beautiful certificate and this winners logo.
My book is entitled, "CHARLIE RIGHTWOOD - A RIGHT MESS (a journey from Tarshish to Ninevah). I am now busy with the editing etc. The book will finish at about 80 000 words. I will probably self publish if there is no interest from the USA.

GREEN DAY FOR NEDBANK

Our ABF team at Nedbank decided to do our part in cleaning up the environment and so we headed for the Blue Lagoon in Durban to clean up the beach

My ex-wife Michelle returned with her family from the UK where they attended Emmylou's graduation and of course visited the new grandchild, Adam.
Emmylou has returned to SA and will be going back to her job in Johannesburg.This is great news. She can build on her career.

Well my next door neighbour Hilliary Kay had her first bookclub meeting at Costa Do Sol.Decided to sing a romantic song and the next minute they were all on my bed asking for more.

Emmylou graduated on the 27th June with her masters in International Law from Cambridge University UK.

My new grandson has arrived. Born on the 18th May 2008 at 23:37 in London.
His name ADAM EDWARD PHILIP LORMAN and brother to EMMA.

EASTERN CAPE BREAK

I spent a week in East London with my Mom and Step-Father. As always home cooking certainly makes me happy as I don't really cook for myself.

My brother Bernhard sitting in a lovely classic car in Christchurch New Zealand. He turned 50 on the 1st March.Still going strong.He reminds me a lot of my late Uncle Ken.

LLEWELYN'S NEW CAR

My days with VW are over. I have just traded in my 2007 VW Polo 1.6 Comfortline on this 2008 Mazda 2 1.5 Individual. I became very dissapointed in the attitude of the VW Dealership I was dealing with, so after only 10 months I am rid of the car. This Car has everything, I can even play my ipod through the standard auxilary input it has.

FESTIVE SEASON ACTIVITIES

Has been absolutely wonderful to have both my daughters here from the UK.Of course seeing my grandchild Emma again makes it all worthwhile.Emmylou has still not received her luggage.She arrived in Durban on the 11th December from the UK,so if you see a black suitcase anywhere around the world, it could be Emmylou's.
