Execellent, I can remember having a veg garden in that area to the right of the washing line, what about 30 years ago.
Make sure the carrots have lots of potasium (I think) otherwise you will get short stubby ones (also improves the flavour. Boron will also help prevent cracking.

WOW!! You are lucky to have veg growing already! Its only starting to warm up now to think of weeding and preparing the garden. Well done!
