LIFE IS BUT A VAPOUR

I realised when Alison had a stroke (she is only 38 years old), that we are so fragile. The Bible talks about our lives being like a vapour. Are we prepared for these unexpected events? How will we handle them? When I saw Alison lying in intensive care, so vulnerable, I knew that we have to make the most of our lives because we never know what the future holds. Only God knows and He has a specific purpose for Alison. The circumstances have certainly shocked a lot of people and if this brings us closer to God, all would not have been in vain.
There are references in the Bible we it says, " and God, at the appointment time....." This speaks to me of order, this shows me God is in control. At the appointed time, God intervened in her life.
Last night I spent some special moments with Alison. We laughed together especially as I tried to understand her "foreign tongue". Yes, she also showed me that she had not forgotten how to kiss.
Thank you Jesus for your shed blood. Thank you that Alison is healed, in Jesus name.
